Police are investigating the early morning robbery of a Jersey City woman who says she was robbed of cash and a bottle of liquor after she left a bar.

Police say they were called to Communipaw Avenue and Halladay Street around 1 a.m. in reference to the robbery where they met with the 32-year-old woman they described as being “tipsy.”

The woman, of Van Horne Street, told officers a man held a gun to her head and robbed her of her cell phone, cash and her wallet containing more than $3,000.

The victim, who claimed the gunman told her, "This is a robbery, don't move,” told police she wasn’t exactly sure of where the robbery occurred and also gave conflicting reports of what the gunman looked like.

The report states she first told police the gunman wore dreadlocks, but later changed her statement to say he had an Afro hairstyle. Police continue to investigate.
