Jersey Trash Men Arrested for Possession of Controlled Substances

Two sanitation workers were arrested by police Tuesday after a resident of Highland Avenue called to report that one of the workers, Paul Ward 42, was removing a discarded prescription bottle from the garbage bin and placing it in the cab of their garbage truck. When police officers arrived at the scene, they conducted a brief investigation which resulted in the arrest of both men.

Joseph Andrisano, 35 of Wharton was arrested and charged with possession of controlled and dangerous substances, Adderall, a Schedule II narcotic.

Ward, a resident of Randolph was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a prescription legend drug without a valid prescription and resisting arrest.

Ward was detained at the Morris County Jail in lieu of a $20,000 while Andrisano was released on a summons to appear in court.
