The New York Police Department has released a sketch of the man they say is responsible for the fatal stabbings of two men on the number 2 train Sunday.

Darnell Morel and Ricardo Williams, ages 24, were killed at the Christopher Street station after witnesses say the men threw trash out of the subway door and accidentally hit the suspect causing him to fly into a rage and pull put a knife on the two men.

The 5 a.m. attack wounded a third man who witnesses say was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and a leather jacket.

Bryan Woods said his friends tried apologizing to the man to no avail.

"He felt threatened. We kept trying to calm him down. Then everybody started brawling at the same time," Woods told the Daily News.

The NYPD sketch describes the alleged killer as a 25-year-old man about six feet tall with a medium build. Witnesses say he was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and a leather jacket.

If you have information about the suspect please call the Sixth Precinct Detective Squad at 212-741-4841 or the Manhattan South Homicide Squad.
