Miami Heat players had a momentary scare when the flight carrying them back to Florida from Minnesota made an emergency landing in Chicago after a mechanic fell ill mid-flight.

Heat Guard, Dwayne Wade tweeted the incident saying, ""Hey everyone pray for our pilot," Wade wrote. "... He went into a Coma. God bless this man and his family."

Trainers for the Miami Heat treated the ailing mechanic after he fell into a diabetic coma while in the cockpit, according to the Associated Press.

The plane landed safely at Chicago O'Hare International Airport and the man was rushed to a local hospital.

The Heat rallied for their 12th straight win when they beat the Minnesota Timberwolves Saturday night, 97-84, inching the team closer to the NBA Playoffs.

Wade, who scored 30 points during Saturday's game, slammed a wide-open 3-pointer that put Miami up 86-76 with 5:33 left in the game.
