The clergyman detained after the arrest of former drug lord Christopher "Duddus" Coke Tuesday, has been formally charged with harboring a fugitive and perverting the course of justice, according to a report in the Jamaican Observer.

The charges were brought against Reverend Miller sometime around 3:40 p.m. Thursday after two days of questioning by detectives from Jamaica's Organized Crime Investigation Division for Miller's assistance to Coke while he was wanted by U.S. and local authorities for his involvement with drugs, gangs and weapons.

Miller was in a vehicle with Coke when it was stopped at a road checkpoint Tuesday. The minister stated that he was trying to deliver Coke to the United States Embassy in order to turn himself over to authorities for extradition to the United States. Miller is also said to have facilitated the arrests of Coke's siblings who were also wanted for aiding the fugitive while he was on the lam.

Miller's bail has been set at $200,000 and he received a July 2 court date to appear before a resident Magistrate at the Corporate Area Courthouse.

Coke was extradited to the United States Thursday afternoon after waiving his right to an extradition hearing in Jamaica.
