Barge Hits, Overturns 'Duck Boat' in Delaware River

A sightseeing boat carrying 37 people was hit by a barge and overturning the boat Wednesday afternoon, spilling passengers into the Delaware River. Coast Guard boats assisted by police and fire crews worked to rescue people from the water, but two people remain unaccounted for.

The amphibious "Duck Boat" was carrying over 30 passengers and two crew members said Coast Guard Senior Chief Bud Holden. There were no immediate reports of serious injuries, but fire department officials said three people have been transported to local hospitals.

Bystanders along the waterfront screamed as the barge hit the boat around 2:30 p.m., said a security guard who was patrolling the waterfront....
