On July 8th, the NYPD police officer stationed on Jerome Avenue in front of Monroe College Bronx campus buildings was very familiar with his beat. That is because Officer Gary Perez of the NYC Housing Police graduated from Monroe in 2007 with a degree in Criminal Justice.
“It’s wonderful to see one of our graduates on the job in our very neighborhood,” said Criminal Justice Dean Michele Rodney. “Officer Perez underscores what’s great about Monroe and our Criminal Justice program. Graduates are ready to work and you couldn’t have better proof than one of NY’s Finest right in front of our door!”
