O.J. Simpson Set To Marry Prison Pen Pal

British newspaper, The Globe has reported that inmate #1027820, also known as Orenthal James "O.J." Simpson is set to marry a woman he's been corresponding with from prison.... a woman who strikes an eerie resemblance to his second ex-wife, Nicole Simpson.

Simpson's prison pen pal, Anna, is reportedly a "young blonde" who the Juice fell head over heels for after she sent him her picture. No word on when their nuptials will take place.

Simpson, 62, former running back for the San Francisco 49ers (70s) is currently serving 33 years in a Lovelock, Nevada State Prison for the 2007 armed robbery of a man at the Palace Station hotel-casino in Nevada whom Simpson claimed was illegally selling memorabilia stolen from him.

He denied having a gun or breaking into the man's room, but in 2008, a jury found him and his co-defendants guilty of multiple felony counts, including criminal conspiracy, kidnapping, assault, robbery, and using a deadly weapon.

His lawyers continue their fight to have Simpson's conviction overturned.

In 1994, Simpson returned to the media spotlight, but not for his talent on the gridiron and not in another Hertz commercial. This time, he was being charged with the brutal double homicide of his former wife, Nicole Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman on June 12, 1994.

Simpson was charged with their murders, but failed to turn himself in to police and on June 17, American watched as Simpson and friend Al Cowlings led police on a low speed chase in that white Ford Bronco SUV.

Simpson's trial, labeled as "the trial of the century," culminated on October 3, 1995 in a jury verdict of not guilty for both murders.

But Simpson's legal problems did not end there. Following a civil trial for wrongful death in February 1997 in which Brown and Goldman's families won $33,500,000 in damages, Simpson again found himself facing legal trouble, this time with the IRS who claimed the NFL star owed more than $1.44 million in past due taxes. A tax lien was filed in September 1999.

In December 2000, Simpson was arrested in Miami-Dade County, Florida for simple battery and burglary after a motorist claimed Simpson yanked his glasses off during a traffic dispute. Simpson was acquitted on both charges in 2001.

In July 2002, Simpson was again arrested in Miami-Dade County for speeding through a Manatee Zone and having an expired boating registration. His attorney, Yale Galanter, had the misdemeanor charge dropped and Simpson only had to pay a fine.

In March 2004, satellite television network DirecTV, Inc. accused Simpson of using illegal electronic devices to pirate broadcast signals. A Miami Federal court later ordered Simpson to pay $33,678 in attorney's fees and costs.
