Two New Jersey Teens Facing Manslaughter Charge for Beating Death of Summit Man

Authorities charged two teenagers with manslaughter Wednesday following the death of a 47-year-old Summit man, said Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow and Summit Police Chief Robert C. Lucid.

The victim was on a bench in the promenade off of Springfield Avenue on July 17 around 9:30 p.m. when he was approached by a group of teenagers, said Romankow.
