Robbery Suspects Charged With Murder in Death of Nun in Harlem

Two armed robbery suspects arrested in June for the murder of Sister Mary Celine Graham after they attempted to flee police are being held without the benefit of bail after pleading not guilty to murder and robbery charges Wednesday.

Prosecutors say William Robbins and Dyson Williams are both responsible for the death of Sister Graham since both were fleeing police after they allegedly committed a string of robberies.

Robbins exited the vehicle after police initially stopped the car. That's when prosecutors say Williams slipped behind the wheel and took off leading officers on a high speed chase that killed Sister Graham and injured six other pedestrians along Lenox Avenue and 122nd street. However, Williams denies he was driving the vehicle, a Chevrolet Pacifica.
