9/11 Families: Proposed Site of Mosque Once Held Remains of 9/11 Victims

FEISAL RAUF - Argument is rebutted.

Relatives of 9/11 victims said yesterday that a revealing map showing human remains were found close to the proposed mosque near Ground Zero is evidence for why it must never be built there.

They said mosque spearhead Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf was wrong when he said of his site: "This is not Ground Zero. No one's body is in that location."

"His remarks were way out of line," said retired FDNY Chief Jim Riches, who lost a son on 9/11.

"There had to be body parts on his block."

The Post yesterday revealed a map, compiled by firefighters who sifted through the lower-Manhattan wreckage in the months after the attacks, that showed remains were found as far as 1,135 feet from the middle of the World....MORE
