Two people fatally shot outside of Pat and Bill's Bar and Grill in Newark on Wednesday have been identified as Reginald Wilson, 27, and Ismel Bowers, 30, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said.

The shooting, which police described as "targeted," occurred around 10:15 p.m. near the corner of Sherman Avenue and Concord Street. Investigators have no suspects in custody and have not released a motive in the shootings.

Both victims had extensive criminal histories with a total of 37 arrests and 13 felony convictions between them including another victim, whose name has not been released. The 28-year-old man of Clifton survived his gunshot wound and is being treated at University Hospital, said Newark police Sgt. Ronald Glover.

Wilson's criminal record, dating back to October 2001, bore several distribution, narcotics and weapons possession charges. While Bowers boasted a criminal record littered with aliases that dated back to June of 1996. He was released from prison in May 2007 after serving time on drug sales and weapon possession, the Department of Corrections said.
