A June 27 assault that was caught on surveillance at Newark Liberty Airport captured the images of two violent thieves that assaulted a victim in a manager’s office behind the food court at Terminal A.
The footage shows the two men restraining, gagging, then tying the victim up after a brief struggle. The thieves made off with approximately $20,000, Port Authority police said.
A reward for information leading to the arrest of the two men has been offered.

Last month a federal airline security officer was charged with with embezzlement by a government employee and making false statements after police say she was pilfering electronic items from the Lost and Found at Newark Liberty International Airport.
According to The U.S. Attorney's Office, Jennifer Steplight, who worked for the Transportation Security Administration as a Master Transportation Security Officer, was doing more than maintaining records at the Coordination Center (lost and found). Investigators say she stole four laptops between December and January 2010, then falsified forms to conceal her thievery.
The 40-year-old Bayonne resident surrendered to authorities and appeared before Magistrate Patty Shwartz in Newark federal court. If convicted, Steplight faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
U.S. Attorney Fishman credited special agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the direction of Michael B. Ward in Newark, with conducting the investigation. He also thanked the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Inspector General and the Transportation and Security Administration for their work in the case.
