The Department of Defense announced Friday the death of Lance Cpl. Timothy M. Jackson, 22, of Corbin, Kentucky.Jackson was attached to 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.
He was killed Thursday, September 30, 2010, while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.
