Three Newark men have been arraigned on charges that they allegedly operated "chop shops" and sold the parts from stolen automobiles. A bench warrant was issued for a fourth man.
The four men were charged in an Aug. 24 Union County grand jury indictment for their alleged involvement in a conspiracy to operate "chop shops" in which stolen vehicles were towed to different locations and stripped of their parts, which were then sold, state Acting Insurance Fraud Prosecutor Riza Dagli said Tuesday.
