After barricading himself inside a Bronx apartment, the man police say is responsible for the rape of a Bronx prostitute last week was taken into custody.
NYPD Emergency Service Unit officers had to break down Michael Fishbein’s apartment door last week after an hour of unsuccessful talks with hostage negotiators at his Morris Park apartment.
Fishbein has been charged with raping a 27-year-old woman after she went to his Meill Avenue apartment for a sexual tryst on Jan. 21.
The two met earlier in the day and planned to hook-up later for sex, but once inside Fishbein's lair things turned violent and Fishbein allegedly tied the woman up, and began beating and poking her with objects, The New York Post reported.
