Check out this new music video by Michigan's own T. Calmese called "Trust Me." The Home of Motown stay doing their thing.
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan – T.Calmese (formally ILLITE) was inspired to rhyme around 1994-95. He played around with writing verses here and there, but really didn’t take it seriously until 2000-2001 when he got his start under Onebelo’s Subterraneous Records. He made his debut on Subterraneous’ “WATERWORLD TOO” album in 2001. As a part of the SUB Crew he became a more seasoned artist and performer. He did shows around the Metro Detroit area, Seattle, Minneapolis, Wisconsin and Chicago and opened up for the likes of De la Soul, Mos Def, Jurassic 5, Slum Village, Redman and others. In 2006, he partnered with DJ Phrikshun (aka Octane, now RoSpit) to put together the “FORGOTTEN CHOSEN” project which eased him into the spotlight a little more. The duo made a name for themselves around Michigan for having incredible chemistry in their live stage show.
