1. The program is run by real tech gurus, found in Wayne Sutton and Angela Benton. Both are active in social media and very influential in the tech world.
2. The program is getting worldwide attention that will make more African-americans look a little at getting a career in tech.
3. They are making history. This program will open the door for more African-american tech developers' chances for venture capital from the mainstream. With sponsors like Google on their side..the program could reach new heights.
4. Tech is a hot field and the developers in the New Me program, all have great applications of software. One of them called, Playd, was made by a young brother from Newark(Brickcity), NJ. That just shows you how they're making waves.
5. They know they're pioneers. Whenever you're making history, you have that feeling inside. That desire to make it work. That's what I see when I read about NewME. They will be in the history books for paving the way for the new generation of minority tech entrepreneurs.
