The Miami Heat made one more step towards winning their first championship by Mehka- Sports editor

Last night, The Miami Heat made one more step towards winning their first championship in 6 years and the first title for King James. James put up 25 points, 8 assists and 9 rebounds as the Heat closed out game 4.
The game was up and down from the beginning as the Thunder jumped out to a big 15 point lead early in the game. The Heat were able to chip the lead down in the 2nd quarter, but the Thunder managed to maintain a lead deep into the 3rd quarter. Russell Westbrook, much maligned for his shot selection and decision making, put up 41 points last night for the Thunder. Westbrook was virtually un-stoppable last night as he made his way to the hoop with ease. Kevin Durant complimented Westbrook well putting up 28 points himself, but many of those points came after the 2nd half.

The game was pretty much Lebron James and D Wade vs. Westbrook for the most part with the teams superstars going back and forth, each providing a counterpunch when needed. Towards the 3rd quarter, the Thunder seemed to lose some steam and the Heat picked up the momentum. Miami cut a 13 point lead and eventually tied, then took the lead in the game. OKC didn’t go out easy though. Kevin Durant and Westbrook stepped up for the Thunder, grabbing the lead back for Oklahoma, but that lead was only for a moment. The Heat would eventually take the lead back after a few clutch plays from Wade and James going into the 4th Quarter.
In the 4th, both teams played like they wanted to win a championship. The Thunder were lead by Russell Westbrook who continued to cause damage to the Heat backcourt with an array of mid-range jump shots and drives to the lane. But as the quarter and the game came closer and closer to ending, Lebron and The Heat stepped up. A brief moment of fear ran through American Airlines arena after Lebron slipped and hit the ground. It was just a cramp, but that cramp kept him out the game for a few minutes. The game was still close and was close until about 55 seconds in the game. That’s when Russell Westbrook, after keeping the game close for his Thunder made a costly foul that sent the Heat to the free throw line and the win. The Heat would pull away to win game 4 104-98 with game 5 Thursday in Miami.
Where is James Harden?
James Harden was supposed to be the ex-factor in the Thunder/Heat series, but so far Harden has been a no-show. Last night was the biggest example of that. Harden went 2-10 from the field last night and looked like he was in a daze the whole game. If the Thunder are to come back and win this game, they’ll need Harden to snap out of his trance and start hitting some jumpers to free up space for Durant and Westbrook.
