Va., Beach Police on Scene of Roommate Dispute

Since 9:00 a.m., Virginia Beach Police have been on scene with a man who has barricaded himself in a home with a weapon following an alleged dispute with his roommate.

WAVY is reporting that police are trying to coax the suspect to leave his home, which is in the 1800 block of Wandsworth Drive. Police officers and SWAT Team members are on scene and in contact with the suspect. 

Police were notified early this morning by an unidentified caller who told police that the suspect displayed a weapon before the caller fled the home.

The suspect, whose name has not been released at press time, allegedly threatened his roommate, Jimmy Barnes with Virginia Beach Police reported WAVY.com.
