David Hasselhoff is saying, "Don't blame it on the alcohol." Reports stating Hasselhoff has "relapsed" are wrong, says the Knight Rider star.

Hasselhoff was rushed to a hospital on Sunday night from his Encino, California home and the rumor mill began churning with reports that the star was suffering from "alcohol poisoning."

Sources say that the Baywatch star's 17-year-old daughter, Hayley discovered her father "extremely drunk" and called her mother Pamela Bach, whose friend called 911.

A representative for Hasselhoff states that his trip to the hospital recently was simpy due to an "equilibrium imbalance" caused by a new medication prescribed to treat an ear infection. Antivert - which side effects include drowsiness, dry mouth and blurred vision - interacted with the medication Antabuse Hasselhoff is taking to treat his alcoholism. The representative added that Hasselhoff was taken to the hospital for treatment, and released after one hour.

The Knight Rider star's alcohol problem went public in 2007 when home video footage of the star in a drunken stupor showed up on the internet. Hasselhoff later checked into a rehabilitation facility and began his journey towards sobriety.
