Jersey City police have arrested two in connection with the double homicide of cousins Mileak Richardson and Lester Thompson last week in Jersey City.

Ronald "Diddy" Lawrence and Hakeem "Hak" Lester, both 21 have been charged with two counts of felony murder and armed robbery, said Hudson County prosecutor Edward DeFazio.

Lawrence turned himself into police this morning after learning he was wanted. Hakim Lester was arrested after police stopped a vehicle on Kennedy Boulevard that he was riding in.

The victims were found face down on Woodland Avenue around 4 am. Both had been shot to death. Police say the suspects "premeditated and planned" to kill the two young men for drugs, money and a cell phone after luring them to their deaths.

Richardson would have celebrated his 18th birthday this week. His cousin, Lester, had just turned 26 on February 1. Richardson had been shot in the face and had to be identified by the tattoos he bore, said step-mother Phyllis McRae.

Bail for each defendant has been set at $1 million. DeFazio said further charges could be filed against the Jersey City men.
