Poet's Corner: "What Are You Studying?"

What are you studying?
A pauper's stone
Wrapped in green leaves.
Living all alone
Where no one believes.

What are you studying?
A cardboard box propped
Against a brick wall.
A home for the dropped,
A landing for the fall.

What are you studying?
Crumb snatching techniques
To raid by traditional walk.
Sacrifice what makes you unique,
How you appear, how you talk.

What are you studying?
Dust particles only visible
In the presence of photons.
The science isn't tangible,
But holds the power of electrons.

What are you studying?
A cradle sprouting a tree,
Where leaf and bough hang,
Stretching over land and sea
To where the people sang.

What are you studying?
