"Let there be light..."
Public Service Electric & Gas is steadily working to restore power to more than 458,000 of it's customers left in the dark after last weekend's powerful Nor'easter dumped rains and brought heavy winds to the State over a three-day period.
Thus far, PSE&G has completed repairs to 760 homes and businesses as of Friday. As flood waters recede in Passaic and Sommerset Counties, the utility giant plans to restore power to it's 3,000 gas customers there.
Jersey Central Power & Light customers had their power back on as of Wednesday. Approximately 186,000 of their customers lost power during the Nor'easter.
