Indonesia Earthquake Triggers Tsunami Warning


A 7.5-MAGNITUDE earthquake struck off the coast of Indonesia overnight, triggering a tsunami warning in the region.

The quake hit at a depth of 32 kilometres and approximately 641 kilomtressouthwest of Singapore, the US Geological Survey said.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre quickly issued a bulletin to all areas of the Indian Ocean alerting that local tsunamis could form.
