The Black Urban Times
Several marauding thugs turned a Bronx hospital into a "Gunfight at the O.K. Corral" Wednesday night leaving a hospital security guard and nurse recovering from gunshot wounds.
The melee began as a Riverpark Towers Crew gang banger was being treated at the Bronx Lebanon emergency room for an eye injury sustained during an earlier dust up. The wounded miscreant's girlfriend notified him that members of rival gang, the Burnside Money Getters, were also in the waiting room. Upon learning this news, the gang banger begins pacing back and forth before deciding to leave his hospital bed and confront the other roughnecks.
Within moments, shots were fired and bullets ricocheted off walls in the emergency room as dozens of children and adults scurried for safety.
The unidentified security guard was shot in the groin and the nurse took a bullet to his shoulder. Both are in stable condition. Nurse's aid, Joi Cummings told the New York Post she heard three shots and total chaos broke out.
Police arrested three men last night, but 19-year-old Michael "Mills" Wayman remains on the run. Investigators say Wayman is also one of the men who opened fire in the hospital. The gun used in the 7:30 PM bloody ruckus has not been found. If you have information on the whereabouts of Michael Wayman, please call the NYPD 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submit an Internet tip HERE
