5 reasons why every young black male needs to see Red tails

By geekswagg

1. The black male is seen through the eyes of the audience as the true superhero. The critics are wrong..its a black movie so we have to learn our history.

2. We have to know our history. The movie, "Red Tails", tells our story..the story of the Tuskegee Airmen. Its flawed, but so is every biopic.

3. Don't believe the hype. White critics cannot understand a movie told by black writers starring an all black cast. Directed by a black male! Its just too much for them to take.

4. Understand the subtle racism and why it wasn't the whole story. Racism is a part of the story..yes its important..yes its history, but why can't the other side of the story be the main story.
The dogfights and glorified fighting is the story as well and should be at the forefront.

5. It peaks young people's interests! The story is a historical biopic of the history of a group of young black males who overcame the odds and are heroes. Every young person needs to know their history, because black history is American history.
