There are no new updates on the arrests of 16-year-old Georgia twin sisters, Jasmiyah and Tasmiyah Whitehead in the murder of their mother, Jarmecca "Nikki" Whitehead in January 2010.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the girls will be tried together and as adults. Jasmiyah Whitehead has been denied bail and remains in custody. The sisters are being held in separate jails in  Rockdale and Newton county.

Shortly before her murder, Jarmecca Whitehead purportedly confided to a neighbor that she was afraid something like this might happen, reported WGCL. The mother and daughters were working through some problems although neighbors and family members would not dislose the nature of those problems.

The sisters were arrested in May 2010 following an investigation by Conyers, Georgia police. The high school sophomores claim they found their mother lying in a pool of blood on January 13, 2010 when they returned home from school. One of the girls rain into the street and flagged down a passing police officer to report the crime.

Police say the twins had not lived with their mother for several months prior to the murder. The day the mother was found, the twins had only been back home for four days.

A grand jury re-indicted the twins and their trial was set for September 2012, but the date was pushed back. The teens have been charged with aggravated assault, malice murder and felony murder.

  3. I really believe the twins are guilty of killing their own mother in cold blood. Just from what I read I believe their motive was that they deeply resented their mother setting rules and boundaries for them and desperately wanted to go back to living with the grandmother ( she feared them so much so that she slept with a butcher knife under her pillow and the doors locked) who they could basically walk all over. At the grandmother house the twins could come and go as they pleased and sneek boys over for sex. They had zero respect for their great-grandmother. Basically what they could get away with with the great-grandmother, they couldnt get away with at ther mothers. The conversation the mother had with the neighbor meant that the girls were showing obvious signs of what they are really capable of and Jarmecca in a way foreshadowed her own death.

  4. THOU SHALL NOT KILL!.. PLAIN AND SIMPLE. ONE OF GOD'S MOST PROFOUND TEN COMMANDMENTS. TO SUPPORT THESE GILS IS LIKE GOING AGAINST GOD. HE SAID SEPARATE OURSELVES FROM EVIL DOERS. WHAT THEY DID WAS VERY EVIL. AND I CANNOT SUPPORT THAT. THERE WAS NO REASON TO KILL THEIR MOTHER. NONE. ABSOLUTELY NONE WHATSOEVER. THE HATRED AND SELFISHNESS THESE GIRLS DEMONSTRATED IN THE DEATH OF THEIR MOTHER IS A TOTAL DESPICABLE AND HORRIBLE SIN IN WHICH ONLY GOD HIMSELF CAN FORGIVE THEM OF. I SURE CAN'T. I HAVEN'T GOTTEN THAT FAR YET. I HATE MURDERS. THEY SHALL REAP WHAT THEY HAVE SOWN. THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE OBEDIENT AND RESPECFTUL TOWARDS LIFE. NOW, I HOPE THEY DO LIFE. AN EYE FOR AN EYE, A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH, A LIFE FOR A LIFE. THEY HAVE ALREADY PICKED THEIRS. NOW ENJOY THE LIFESTYLE INWHICH THEY HAVE CHOSEN.
