The Power Players

By: Jas

Revolt TV published “Unlocking The Holy Grail: Timbaland” the day before the release of Jay-Z’s album "Magna Carter Holy Grail" (Which Timbo claims is Jay-Z’s best album). In this interview, Timbaland was asked about Jay-Z’s status in the industry. Timbaland let the public know Jay-Z is at the top, soon him and Jay-Z will be able to say, “we can control our records…we don’t have to talk to none of these people, we are the people…now the money is much better because we own it.”
But Jay-Z’s status isn’t just coming from the music industry.

So who are the power players in the music biz? Timbaland, Pharrell, Kayne, Diddy, and Jay-Z. But lets focus on the kings…Sean Combs and Sean Carter, Why?, Because they have empires.

Both topped the The Forbes Five: Hip-Hop’s Wealthiest Artist every year since 2007, but now there is a question of who will reach billionaire status first. These two have built an empire within the entertainment industry as a whole. Just this year, Jay-Z went from owning a portion of the Brookland Nets to establishing Roca Nation Sports, while Diddy is building his TV network, REVOLT TV but still gaining most of his profit from Ciroc.

Their next move better be their best move!

Which one of these bosses do you think will be a billionaire first?

Notorious B.I.G's Daughter Celebrates Sweet 16 Birthday

My, how time flies when it comes to children. Look who has graduated to "young lady" status. Yes, that's the daughter of late rapper, Notorious B.I.G. (aka Biggie Smalls).

T’Yanna Wallace is Biggie's oldest child. She just celebrated her 16th birthday in pure style...just like her father would have wanted, I'm sure.

T'Yanna was a mere toddler when her father was murdered as he sat in a vehicle in Los Angeles, California on March 9. 1997. Biggie, born Christopher Wallace, was gunned down while leaving a Vibe magazine party after the Soul Train Music Awards. His rise to success began during his short tenure as a crack dealer on the streets of New York. Thanks to producer, Sean "Puffy" Combs, Biggie left the lifestyle to hone his skills as a gifted rapper.

On the night of the mysterious shooting, as hundreds left the party, Biggie's entourage rolled out of the parking garage of the Petersen Automotive Museum in the Wilshire district with Rap mogul, Combs riding ahead of Biggie's vehicle.

The famed gangsta rapper's vehicle was sitting at a traffic light when a dark Chevy Impala pulled up alongside Biggie's vehicle and fired seven shots from a blue steel 9mm semi-automatic into the SUV's front passenger door.

Four of the bullets hit Biggie.

The 24-year-old Jamaican sensation was pronounced dead less than an hour later shortly after arriving at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

The shooter, described as a black male in a suit and bow tie has never been found.

Diddy Loves...Diddy?

According to the New York Post, P. Diddy is in love with self. Well, their exact words were "infatuated." Apparently the hip hop mogul/producer/actor was dining with a friend at the Serafina Branch in Manhattan and was seated at a table that enabled him look out and see himself on a huge billboard promoting his new fragrance.
The billboard reads, 'Sean John -- I Am King.' Huh? Pure coincidence or self indulgence?

Detriot News: Diddy's Restaurant Owes IRS

A report by The Detroit News, says that Sean "Diddy" Combs restaurant in Atlanta, Justin’s, owes exactly $7,373 in taxes to Uncle Sam. A representative for Combs claims that the taxes owed by the restaurant are a direct result of errors made by the IRS and a company that handles Justin’s tax payments.

Notices from the IRS were being sent to a corporate location that had not been used in years. The rep added that tax payments made on behalf of Justin’s in 2007 to the IRS were underpaid. "The new address was on file with the IRS, so it is surprising this happened," said the representative.

Upon hearing about the owed taxes, a check was immediately made to the IRS covering the full amount. Justin's Restaurant has been in business for over 10 years and specializes in Southern and Caribbean food. The New York location of Justin’s closed in 2007, but word has it that a new location (larger) is in the works.
