In recent years, numerous revenge-themed Hollywood adventures have seemed to take a certain delight in portraying black men as unreliable womanizers undeserving of any respect, like the sort of losers always airing their dirty linen any day of the week on The Jerry Springer Show. Now, help has arrived in Diary of a Tired Black Man, a fascinating half-documentary-half melodrama which marks the directorial debut of Tim Alexander. This movie is currently in production.

SMH I hope you know how much controversy this movie and subject caused on the 'net. I'm surprised no one has stopped in and launched an attack upon you for posting this.
ReplyDeleteSome black women are not going to admit to having any issues that cause or contribute to the imbalanced relationship issues we suffer with. And if someone else touches on the subject it's like dropping an atom bomb.
Don't say you aint been warned...
Personally, I welcome a healthy debate, but others will not. Speak your mind sister just be prepared for the FIYAH!! LOL
So my post may invoke the wrath of some? Ok. I'm prepared. :-) And I have been warned.
ReplyDeleteI don't know who will or will not admit to doing what, but from what I have viewed of the clip and what friends who saw the preview have said, it is an excellent movie.
The clip is very true of some of us who harbor ill feelings towards our men. The truth always stings, Anon. In order to bridge the gap between us (men and women) we have to be willing to hear and accept the hard, ugly truths. Healing hurts. If we're serious about mending fences and growing, we must start with the images reflected back to us in the mirror.
Thanks for the warning. :-)
