There's more to Jersey than the show "Jersey Shore". Thinking this state is full of spiky hair and beach towns is a mistake. There's a lot more happening here. A BWS capo is plotting his move. NJ Devil gave thebutms.com an exclusive interview about Game, BWS(BLACKWALLSTREET), and more. The Game has proved that he can survive without G-Unit and NJDevil is the Dj behind the scenes making things happen. Focused on the matters at hand..BWS..has moved on from silly beefs and are looking to show the world that from the ashes of Oklahoma..Black Wall Street will be powerful again.
TBUT: What's good man?

NJDevil: I'm real good homie I can't complain.

TBUT: How did you and Game meet?

NJDevil: Me and Game met thru a mutual friend by the name of Phat Rat. At the
time I was signed yo Darkchild Entertainment (Rodney Jerkins Label) as
a producer and Game hadn't blown up yet. I use to bring Game to the
studio to work on music and from there we just clicked. We been
working together ever since. After my contract was up with Darkchild I
felt my style was better fitting for Game and moved to Compton where
we started the Black Wall Street movement. Then we started dropping
mixtapes and here we are... The MuthaPhuckin BWS!!!

TBUT: How's bws treating you?

NJDevil:  Everything is good for me at BWS. That's my fam more than anything.
Alot of people forget I've been down with BWS since day one when we
were just some dudes in the hood tryning to make a name for
ourselves so no matter what it's always BWS!

TBUT: With the current state of hip hop how is bws using the internet?

NJDevil: Hip Hop is at a critical stage right now. People are thirsty for
something new so when someone comes out with anything that's different
whether good or bad people tend to bite into it and that's where all
this wack music comes into play and gets so much airplay. As far as
the Internet goes BWS is definitely taking part in that. We have www.TheRealBWS.com
and www.Thisizgame.com which are doing fairly well for us as far as
getting our music promoted correctly. Without the net we would have a
much harder time trying to get our recognition so BWS is all for the
internet.

TBUT: You're from jerz..that's great. Why is jersey always the 6th borough
  to ny?

NJDevil: I think because we are so close to it. But that's mainly North Jersey.
When people hear New Jersey they automatically think New York cause
the name is similar and we're both east coast states. New Jersey is a
big state and is widely spread out. I'm from Atlantic City which is 2
hours away from New York and 1 hour from Philly so we kinda get lost
between them but soon people will start respecting NJ as it's own
state once we turn it all the way up and start sticking together. We
need more unity. North Jersey an South Jersey rarely collab on
anything so hopefully I will bridge that gap and put my state fully on!

TBUT: The Game..a lot happening there..what's on deck for 2010?

NJDevil: Game is in the lab working on the best album of his career. Every
album he gets better and better. The Red album will make a strong
impact on 2010 and BWS will follow up with more music to make an even
stronger impact. We got a lot of tours coming up and will be showing a
lot more of BWS and Game so the fans can see how we really get down.

TBUT: The Gunit factor..does it mean anything to you guys?

NJDevil: Nah that's a thing of the past. They had there run now it's our turn.
Our fans always been there for us and been holding us down since day
one so we will continue to put on for them. G-Unit is G-Unit and BWS
is BWS. I'm done putting negative energy into that. I'm focused on BWS
& LIVELIHOOD and all my time and energy is going into those two
companies.

TBUT: When you're doing a mixtape ..what do you do first?

NJDevil: First I listen to what music I got and see what's needed. I treat my
mixtapes like albums and that's what seperates me from other mixtape
djs. I believe in quality over quantity. Anyone can put a bunch of
songs together and drop a tape but only real djs can make a classic
mixtape which I've continued to do over there past years along with DJ
Haze and a few others.

TBUT: How has the mixtape game changed?

NJDevil: The Internet changed it drastically! Before you had to go out and get
exclusives from artist personally, go get CDs pressed up and do Distro
yourself! Now u can just get songs from different hip hop sites mix
them up and send links out with a jpeg and that's that. Less grind,
less love and less respect for mixtapes.
You're the official BWS DJ, what does that mean?
I'm the "BWS KAPO" which means I over see all and any music that
goes out and make sure everything is running smooth for BWS. I do it
all.

 TBUT: Any shout outs?

Shout out to the whole BWS, all our promoters and fans who hold us
down all around the globe cause without them we would be at a stand
still!
