Friends or Frenemies: Post Dating Dilemma

I think the eighth wonder of the world should be relationships. Not that I subscribe to the belief that a relationship, in of itself, is complicated because that's silly.

The two people involved in a relationship make it complicated with how they choose to interact, treat one another and communicate.

Breaking up isn't hard to do, it hurts, but it's not hard to do.

Once you make your mind up to do it, you just do it and keep moving.

What's complicated and downright foolish is saying one thing and doing another.

Example:
"We broke up because he/she cheated, lied, gave me an STD, abused me and wouldn't change. I got tired and broke it off...but we're still friends. I mean he/she was cool, they did treat me good at one point...so I decided we could still be friends."

What?

It's a sad day when one cannot decipher a friend from a frenemy.
In a day and age where you can't buy an honest relationship, we don't end "beautiful, meaningful and wonderful" relationships with "wonderful" and "nice" people over small or first-time incidents.

We end them because they weren't wonderful and our mates weren't the nicest people in the world.
