New Jersey Drivers Paying a Little More For Gas This Weekend


Jersey rivers are paying a little more at the pumps, according to a new survey by AAA Mid-Atlantic. The average price of regular gasoline in New Jersey was up two cents on Friday at $2.61 from what it was a week ago.
A year ago New Jersey drivers were paying $2.56.The national average for gasoline also rose this week 4 cents to $2.76. The national average a year ago was $2.67.
AAA Mid-Atlantic spokeswoman Tracy Noble says prices at the pump ``are catching up to recent crude oil increases.''
