230 of New York City's bravest fought a six-alarm blaze in the Bronx that left a dozen firemen injured, The New York Post reported.

The raging inferno burned for approximately five hours and destroyed several businesses before FDNY managed to bring it under control a little before 6 a.m.

Officials say the fire appears to have began at Spice Island music shop located at 4225 White Plains Road in Riverdale at around 12:30 a.m.

"It's devastating, we lost everything," said 48-year-old Trevor Walker, the shops owner, who added that the store had recently moved and they were planning to celebrate its reopening this weekend.

A furniture store, nail salon, store-front church and grocery store were also destroyed.

"How are we going to rebuild?" said Jack Lawrence, owner of the African grocery store King of Kings. "Where is the money going to come from?"

FDNY investigators declined to say what sparked the blaze, but the investigation continues.
