Worldstarhiphop.com is making money off of your content..so why don't they share the wealth?
By geekswagg
After reading about wshh's 500 million impressions/per day on Madame Noire's brilliant article on violence against women, the thought comes up that if they're getting paid from your content..then why can't you make money as well?
Q, who is the owner of worldstarhiphop.com, regularly charges artists of all types to get their content onto "worldstar" which gives the "customer" an audience of an urban demographic that loves to see debauchery of all types that I admittedly have watched on occasion as well.
Are these "customers" really getting the best deal for their money? Worldstarhiphop.com allegedly spikes the pageviews on their website, as alleged by 50cent.. So what do you the "customer" get..a bunch of pageviews that have no analytic component to them. In 2013, this is a pathetic way to promote yourselves to the public. You're better off creating a website/youtube channel/facebook and twitter page and seo marketing.
If you don't know what these items are above then you need to really get with it. Q is playing you for your content, pimping out your music videos, content, and original ideas for wshh's own gain. Youtube.com offers content creators a share of the wealth with their adsense.com.
Psy from "Gangham Style" fame just made $8 million from his youtube views. You got 200,876 views on worldstar..but did you get any of the money Q makes from those views? No. Do you know where the viewers are coming from? No. Do you have any analytics at all that could help you? Take a guess..No.
You just have a bunch of views on worldstar and will be famous for 1 day online. Honestly, I'm all for brothers getting money..especially on the net. At the same time, we have to understand how to protect our original content, so that we're not taken advantage of by a site that claims to make you a "worldstar".
