As a tribute to Black Music Month San Francisco's award winning Supper Club Koshi's presents in concert R&B Queen Karyn White. Karyn will perform her smash hit "Superwoman" as well as other singles which made her a household name. The evening will also introduce audiences to selections from her latest CD "Carpe Diem".
Literally defining the title of her hit song "Superwoman", vocal R&B veteran Karyn White embarks upon a fresh phase in her remarkable career. Returning to shine in the industry spotlight, Karyn White is busier than ever with an in-development reality show; scheduled for release this fall; and a newly released single "My Heart Cries" from her CD entitled "Carpe Diem" - on her own "KWE" record label (distributed thru Lightyear/EMI in the U.S.).
Inspired by the response from fans over her return to main stage; her CD, "Carpe Diem" - Latin for 'seize the day' - has become the catalyst for doing just that, with a planned tour throughout the country.
A keen business woman with a sharp eye on professionalism and the best possible presentation for her audiences; Ms. White is firmly at the helm this go round and fully her own boss - having learned much from her years building enterprises and expanding her talents into other genres. Momma Dee wins! Scrappy and Shay are Officially Together!! s...m...h...
So apparently Momma Dee gets her wish! Lil Scrappy and Erica Dixon are over...for now. Scrappy and Shay Johnson are apparently together now. I hope she realizes she is his SECOND CHOICE. After how he humiliated her on national television why would you go back to him??? But if she is comfortable with that then oh well... *Kanye shrug*
Lil’ Scrappy attended Uptown Magazine’s Project13 event in Atlanta, on Monday without his fiancee. Shay was seen on her man's arm.
Erica Dixon who also attended the event reportedly avoided the twosome. Instead she posed solo on the red carpet without her engagement ring and responded:
I do give back, just gave my scraps away…
It's also been reported that Shay and Scrappy are planning to get married! But he can't afford to buy her a ring yet because Erica finally put him on them papers...and all of his earnings from Love and Hip Hop Atlanta are being garnished and going straight to Erica. Now that's how you get 'em back!! *Ching Ching* Get them dollas' boo!

Exclusive Interview with up and coming artist TREVANTE'
Trevante, the outstanding superstar
in the making has a bright future ahead of him in the music industry. At the
age of only 18 his presence resembles someone who has been in the game for much
longer than a few years. He first hit the scene independently releasing two
singles “That Girl” and “Baby Girl” for Selsum Records. These hits were written
as well as produced by his father Joe “Simply” Halliburton. Eventually he
snagged a deal with FYE which allowed him to build his fan base. His single “Baby
Girl” hit the #1 spot on Billboards R&B and Hip Hop Singles sales chart.
This began the start of many more opportunities to come.
He first took interest in music at a very early age. He
recalls at a very early age listening to old school music and having received a
natural love of music from his father who previously was signed to a major
recording label. So following in his father’s footsteps came natural to him.
Great singers that he grew up listening to were such notable talents such as
The Temptations, Michael Jackson, Eddie Kendricks, Jackie Wilson and Frankie
Lymon. Listening to such artists like that is what he says “made me really want
to do this”.
His upcoming release which is untitled at the moment, will
send across the message of love. Trevante often wishes he would have been an
artist in the 90’s where lyrics actually meant something. The late great,
Michael Jackson is his artist of choice that he really looks up to from that
time and admires because of the passion he had for just loving people and
wanting to spread love across the globe. If the opportunity would have presented
itself he definitely would have loved to have collaborated with him. Other
notable talents that he would love to collaborate with in the future are
artists such as Prince and Brandy.
TOURING: He previously got the opportunity to tour with Diggy
Simmons and Mindless Behavior. The experience for him he says “it was amazing”.
Being his first big tour it was exciting and really fun. He sums it up by
saying “it was a great experience”.
Why should we buy the CD: “Why because it is all about love”. The
world needs more love and his CD will definitely get people to reminiscing on
why they fell in love in the first place. “It is not putting emphasis on how
many girls I have, but is just a real record”, he says. At the age of 18 that
is not an everyday quote people would most likely hear but then again Trevante isn't your ordinary 18 year old. This young man is going places and his impact
will be great. Don’t let his age fool you because his music is for all ages.
TayLang’s Signature Question: If you were in another part of
the world and nobody knew who you were how would you introduce yourself?
“I am Trevante, I am an entertainer. I am here to bring love…If
it is negativity I don’t want to be around it. I am bringing positivity
everywhere I go.”

the pleasure of catching up with Las Supper and getting all of the details of
what’s to expect from the group which also consists of a nine piece band.
Big Daddy Kane whom we all remember from back in the day is widely considered to be one of the most influential and skilled MCs in hip hop. His classic hit "Ain't No Half Steppin" hit #25 on the Rolling Stone's list of The 50 Greatest Hip-Hop Songs of All Time. From the 80's - 90's Kane had major hits and even became a Grammy Award winning artist. Now in 2013 he has formed a group with member Show Tyme.
