My fifth grade teacher, Sister Mary Jo always told me that "God helps those who help themselves." Well, one woman in New Jersey seems to be living and breathing that very saying.
A Teaneck, New Jersey woman put her "Betty Crocker" skills to work in order to save her home. Angela Logan, a divorced mother of three sons, had to raise $2,559.54 by July 26 in order to pay her lender and try to save her home.
A federal program introduced by the Obama administration assists homeowners in financial trouble by reducing their mortgage payments.
A home renovation scam contributed to Logan's money woes placing her in danger of losing the one place she has lived for almost twenty years. But thanks to Logan's signature apple cakes, she just might be able to save her home. Within a week of cooking up the idea, she received 42 order for what she calls her "mortgage apple cakes" at $40 a piece. If you would like to help Ms. Logan and her sons save their home, order a cake, call (201) 921-3833 or visit her web site here.
