AP: Racial Bias Eyed in Jayson Williams' Manslaughter Trial

SOMERVILLE, N.J. -- Current and former employees of a New Jersey prosecutor's office will be asked whether the manslaughter case against black former NBA star Jayson Williams has been racially biased.
The hearings this week grew out of news that an investigator with the Hunterdon County prosecutor's office used a racial slur to describe Williams after a hired driver was fatally shot at his mansion in 2002.
Williams was acquitted in 2004 of aggravated manslaughter in the death of Costas "Gus" Christofi. He was convicted of trying to cover up the crime and faces retrial on a reckless manslaughter count. FULL STORY
