Interview with Elke the Stallion

Who ever said that all urban models look the same, well they have never seen Elke the Stallion. The first time I heard of her I was on a photo shoot myself, with one of her Stallions at the time.  Right after, I went home and looked her up to see if I could squeeze my way in to becoming a Stallion. Well let me tell you, I had to do a double take. I figured out REAL quick how she got her name. This Germany Bombshell is one of the veterans of urban modeling. If you don’t believe me, then just google this woman and you will see for yourself. I had the pleasure of being able to talk to her about the modeling industry, her new projects, and the beef between her and Joe Budden.

Ok , so let us get right to it. How did you get in the urban modeling industry?

My first video was for Outkast “The way you move” which was shot here in LA. From there I just kept going to auditions and got started on my website. That is how people got to know me is through the internet. That is basically how it got started.
A while ago you had your own company. What happen to that?
That was Stallion Models. That was my sub company. I still have that but right now I am not working with anyone because I will be looking for new talent. You can't trust to many people so I had to be that on hold.
Did you find it difficult to work with models?
You know…not everyone is like me. Some people need more babysitting and some people need less. You have to put a lot of time in that and I just don’t have time for that.
Do you think that the models coming in the industry now are different from when you first started?
When I first started there wasn’t that many of us. Now, everyone wants to be a model. They have all these bikini pictures out. Some of them work for free. It’s just really over whelming now.
A while ago there was a twitter beef between you and Joe Budden, now has that been resolved? Or it is not resolved and you stand by what you said.
I haven’t spoken to him since. You if those things are the things he wants to believe then that cool. He knows its lies. We both know the truth.
Do you find that since you are an Urban Model you get disrespected more?
When you are in this industry you have to have thick skin. I have heard so many things but you can’t let that hurt you. Those types of things don’t affect me. It really has no value, no weight.
So what new project can we look forward for you?
I just shot the new cover for the Spring issue for Stunnaz magazine. It will be in stores and online. You know I am always traveling.  And my book will be out by March 27th.
Since being in the industry is there things that you regret our you wish you could do over again?

I think I am pretty happy. I am a very cautious person. So many if I wasn’t so cautious I could have tried new things. But no I am happy the way things are.

Well I want to thank Elke for letting us get to know her a little better. Make sure you follow her on Twitter , @ElkeTheStallion and vist her website http://www.elkethestallion.com
