I was asked which supplements to take while working out by countless people. The goal of protein powders, creatine, amino acids, Muscle Milk, EAS, etc. is to help the body function properly.
When we eat food, some think it is just to fill the void of hunger. In fact nutrients from food and the nutrients you receive from ingesting the powders is to help the muscle, brain tissue, blood, function together in muscle building and recovery. With the world being on a health kick, choosing the right brand of protein powder has quickly become the more popular question and answer.


Each brand and variation of protein comes with its own formula. Complete with it’s own additives and fillers. When choosing one, the first place people will look is the flavor and the next place is the ingredients list to make a determination if it is suitable. The great part about these products is they typically start with the rawest form which is chemical that the body probably already produces. This makes it a more suitable for the body and kind of herbal. The rest of the contents found tend to be extra fillers that will not be absorbed by the body. In food and powders, our bodies require absorption for the chemicals to properly work. So when choosing the right product the more flavor it has the more filler it has, the more popular the name brand, the more filler it has, and really read the ingredients to understand what you are ingesting. The more natural it is, the less chemically altered it is. I will continue the next couple of blogs with what to look for and what to eliminate out of your choices in protein powders!
