Is the Pretty Boy set to return to the ring?
Rumors are flying about Floyd Mayweather Jr return to boxing
By:Jarred Powell
In the past couple weeks, talks have increased about the return of Floyd Mayweather Jr. returning to fight. Mayweather retired after his 10th round knockout of Ricky Hatton on Dec. 8, 2007. In fairness to the Pretty Boy, he left on his own terms. he said he had made enough money and he didn't want to fight anymore. In retirement, he appeared in Wrestlemania, where he fought the Big Show. He made 3 million alone for that appearance. Floyd, why come back now. You could have fought Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito, or Paul Williams. You ran because there weren't any big times fights in the division. You could have fought Antonio Margarito, Paul Williams, Miguel Cotto or Sugar Shane Mosley. The latter two could have been lucrative for you. In truth boxing has been missing a hero. Someone we all like to see fight love him or hate him. Manny Pacquiao was crowned the pound for pound champion by default. Mayweather vs Pacquiao would be a megafight. Something that boxing has been missing. For this to happen, Mayweather should come back and fight a tune up fight against a lesser opponent and Pacquiao has to beat Ricky Hatton. Then we can set our sights for Mayweather/Pacquiao.
