A Los Angeles judge praised singer, actor Chris Brown during his fourth progress hearing Thursday.

The "Takers" actor was sentenced to five years probation after pleading guilty to assaulting former girlfriend, singer Rihanna. He was also ordered to perform 180 days of community service and attend domestic violence counseling.

The judge also retained a five-year restraining order which requires the 21-year-old to remain 100 yards away from Rihanna, 10 yards at public events.

“You’re doing very well on probation,” Judge Patricia M. Schnegg told Brown. “You’re doing a great job.”

Brown, who attended the hearing with his lawyer, Mark Geragos, recently starred in crime action flick "Takers," which he executive Produced.

The Virginia native was said to be headed on tour with singer Usher Raymond, but Hollywoodnews.com reported that Brown's Live Nation contract would not allow him to tour at this time because of "an agreement that cannot be broken."
