Hypertension aka High blood Pressure…..

Health and Nutrition is our topic. Today I want to bring to your attention to one of the smaller, yet still very important matter. Hypertension also called high blood pressure.
Hypertension is a fairly common condition where too much blood is being forced against your artery walls and that pressure amounts too much to eventually lead to problems such as heart disease. If unchecked you can go on for years without even knowing that you have this condition. There are many causes to having or building up to hypertension such as lack of exercise or physical activity, poor diet, family history, race, and obesity. There are many underlying factors that contribute to the build-up of this congestion. Luckily for you, there is help!

Q’s – Tips
In the spirit of breast cancer awareness month, I urge you to get checked for Hypertension. It is more common in blacks than any other race due to lifestyle choices, poor diets, and lack of exercise. Physical activity, exercise and a decent diet with assist with the decrease, if you have hypertension, and possible eradication of high blood pressure. A healthy adult’s blood pressure is 140/90 or lower. During your next visit to the doctor or hospital, check with your doctor to see what your blood pressure is to help prevent the chances of you having a heart attack, heart failure, stroke, kidney failure, and progressive coronary damage.
